Frequently Asked Questions
How much does college admissions advising cost?
TNEAS offers three advisory packages: Comprehensive at $14,400, covering 9th grade through senior year; Focus at $9,900 for intensive senior-year support; and Core at $4,900 for the application essays. Strategic support for Medical, Law, MBA and PhD applicants is $2,500. Flexible payment plans are available for every package.
When should my student start working with a college advisor?
As early as 9th grade. The Comprehensive package runs from 9th grade through senior year and includes full four-year academic planning, extracurricular strategy and testing. Students who start later are usually better served by Focus, which covers the summer before senior year and senior year, or by Core, which concentrates on the application essays.
What happens in the free consultation?
Every engagement begins with a free half-hour consultation with the student and family. It is an honest conversation about your student's goals, the support that would help most, and whether TNEAS is the right fit — with no pressure to continue.
Who will actually work with my student?
Practising high school teachers, school counselors and admissions advisors. The team includes National Board Certified Teachers, a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching recipient, and state and district Teachers of the Year. The number of students per advisor is kept intentionally small so every family receives individual attention.
How many colleges do you help us apply to?
College list development covers up to 15 colleges in the Comprehensive and Focus packages. If your student applies to more, additional applications can be added to any package as an add-on service and are managed the same way.
Do you help with financial aid and scholarships?
Yes. Financial aid and scholarship guidance is included in the Comprehensive and Focus packages, and the team includes a financial aid advisor with more than 30 years of experience in the field — covering applications, deadlines, and comparing award letters so families understand what they are actually being offered.
Do you help with SAT and ACT preparation?
Yes. SAT/ACT strategic planning is included in the Comprehensive package, and the team includes dedicated SAT mathematics and English instructors who work with students on the specific skills those tests measure.
Not sure which plan is right for your student?
Every engagement begins with a private consultation. We'll listen, assess your student's profile, and recommend the plan that creates the greatest impact.
